Im having a lot of trouble finding cheap airfare from Rome to Boston. Is there anything out there under $1000?

Sam B asked:
I am planning a euro trip and airfare from rome seems increadibly expenisive. Is there any alternative source I could be missing?
This would be at the end of my trip, in the time area of late july, 2009. I’m looking for a one way flight, and connecting flights are no problem.

It depends on when you are travelling. It never hurts to toy around the dates and compare, especially with various websites.
I am not aware of websites that might of help you.
But hope the advice helps.

I don’t quite understand. You’re planning a “euro trip” but you want to find airfare *from* Rome to Boston? When do you need to travel, staying how long? Round trip or just one-way? I’ll check back later to see if you added details.
=== ok, thanks for updating
Be aware that you can not enter Europe (and most other countries) on a one-way ticket unless you have, in hand, a valid work, study, or residence visa for that country. Airlines aren’t even supposed to let you board without this. You need proof of onward travel within 90 days (180 days UK and Ireland). Sorry to be anal retentive if you already knew this, just trying to keep you from having a rotten trip over a small–yet very important–detail.
Ok, I’m seeing fares from Dublin to BOS under $500 one-way late July with Delta. Add a hop from Italy to Dublin with or and you should do under $600 all in (maybe under $550, depending how cheap Ryanair and Lingus are).
