Try going to expedia.com they have a calender that lists dates and prices, most airfares change according to time of year.

There won’t be 1 source always cheapest. It will depend mostly on airline sales, when you need to travel, and how long you need to stay. Considering all of that, I think your best bet is because it checks everywhere for you, with just 1 input of cities and dates; it can check consolidators, aggregators, airlines direct, price-scrapers, Orbitz, Kayak, Cheaptickets, Sidestep, Expedia, etc. etc. It saves you a lot of time and hassle and adds no additional fees.
